What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda offers us practical tools that create a proper harmonized flow within our bodies, allowing us to be comfortable, nourished, and at home within.

Originating in Kerala, India, Ayur-Veda, which means “life wisdom”,  is a universal conscious based lifestyle that relies on food, herbs, spices, yoga, meditation, breath work, and seasonal routines to harmonize and heal the mind, body, and emotion. These informed practices guide the individual to tap into the innate healer within themselves.

Considered to be a deep medical science of over 5,000 year olds, Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, promotes a system of aligning ourselves with the elements of nature:  air, ether, fire, water, earth. Ayurveda believes that humans are not separate from nature and that each of us are born with these elements. Working with our unique body constitution, Ayurveda is a lifestyle practice that works to create balance, not only within ourselves, but in our environment and in the relationships we have.

As an alternative medicine, Ayurveda is a an accessible form of complementary care as a path to wellness and optimal immunity.
